Cable glands are used in conjunction with cable and wiring throughout electrical instrumentation and automation systems industries. Cable glands (cable fittings) secure wire or cable to electrical equipment to seal out dust, dirt, liquids and to provide cable strain relief. Cable glands are used as a sealing and termination device to ensure that the characteristics of the enclosure which the cable enters can be maintained adequately.

Cable glands from Bimed Industrial are available with plastic or metal housings and in NPT (3/8" to 1"), PG (PG7 - PG48), and metric (M12 - M63) thread sizes. All models provide strain relief and are IP68 rated for dust and water ingress protection. Plastic Protection Series cable glands also provide cable bending relief. Bimed cable glands start at $2.00 for a five-pack and are CE, cULus, and CSA approved.
